LAVENDER BEE CANDLE HOLDER/VAS



YOU WILL NEED:
Glass Vas
Brushes:
Americana No 4 Round Brush
Americana 10/0 Liner Brush
Americana Paint Colours:
Dioxazine Purple
Black
Leaf Green
Titanium White
Cadmium Yellow
Burnt Umber
Multi-purpose Sealer

Preparing Project
Wash vase in luck warm water with a little dishwashing liquid an leave to dry.

PAINTING CANDLE HOLDER OR VASE

LAVENDER
1. Print and cut out pattern. Place the pattern on the inside of the vase with prestik facing you.
2. Load your Americana # 4 Round brush wit Dioxazine Purple paint up to the Ferrell.
3. Starting at the bottom of the Lavender paint comma strokes going smaller as you get to the top of the
Lavender. (First up the left side and then the right)
4. Leave to dry and repeat again for better coverage.
5. Load your # 4 Round brush with Titanium White and tip into Dioxazine Purple. Starting at the bottom paint comma strokes over the darker stroke but inbetween the stroke leaving a little of the darker purple showing at the edge.
6. Working up the left and then te right from large to small.
7. Once it is dry place comma strokes coming down the middle where your left and right comma strokes meet. (starting at the top an ending at the bottom)
8. Repeat steps 1-7 fo smaller lavender.

LEAF
1. Basecoat leaf with Leaf Green using your #4 Round. Leave to dry.
(Repeat for even coverage)
2. When it is dry load your brush with Leaf Green and side load into Cadmium Yellow.
3. Placing the brush at the top of the leaf with the yellow facing the edge, press down and drag alng the edge of he leaf on the one side.

BEE
1. Basecoat the head and body of the bee with Titanium White.
2. When it isdry load your Liner brush with black and paint the top half of the head black and the bottom yellow.
3. Divide the body into 4 rings. Load your liner bruwh with black and paint eht top of the body black. Then paint a yellow strip and another black strip, leaving the bottom white.
4. Once the bee is dry load your liner brush with watere down Burnt Umber and paint fine little hair starting in the black and overlapping into the yellw strip.
5. Doing the same with the yellow, paint fine little hairs starting in the yellow and overlapping into the black.
6. Repeat steps 4-5 for the body, ending with the bttom of the bee (white with fine litle hairs painted on over the white).
7. Paint the wings White but not too thick as they should be transparent.
8. With a little watered down Burnt Umber and your line brush paint thin veins on the wings.
9. Load your liner brush with black paint and paint the feelers and legs of the bee.

FINISHING OFF
1. Move the pattern to the other side of the Vase and repeat.
2. When you have completed all the painting leave to dry.
3. With a soft braud brush apply one coat of Mult-purpose sealer over the whole vase being careful over the painting and leave to dry.
